When I told my mom I am starting over with my window treatments she was quick to suggest I get some really frilly damask drapes. But I guess what shocked her even more was that I was planning to have my windows fitted with blinds.
I am definitely a red roller. I like my blinds in red
'Blinds', she says, 'are hideous and cumbersome'. I was quick to explain the blinds I am getting are not that ones on the sale bin at the local Home & Living store. In fact, I am getting myself some elegant pieces off the internet, stylish ones and yes, in damask. I eagerly explained to my mom that not all blinds look the same. There’s so much to choose from in fact- roman blinds, honeycomb blinds, wood blinds and roller blinds- just to name a few.
So far I have my heart set on this sweet pattern. I ordered them for my laundry and pantry area. Since my windows are standard size, there's no need to get them custom or made-for-measure, I opted for the ready-made roller blinds.
And once they get here, I am spending my free weekend, installing these babies.
